Good to see new adult onesies offerings from start-up companies. We have been designing onesie pajamas since 2008 and have sold tens of thousands to happy customers but there is always room for good competition so we welcome new adult onesies businesses. They say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery so we were very flattered to read that Funsies Onesies Clothing Company is planning a kickstarter funding campaign from September 1. Their goal is to raise $15,000 to fund the first production run of this new adult onesies brand. The initial product line contains eight solid-colored onesies and three prints. Each style features a pop of color on the zipper. Solid-colored styles will retail at $60, while the three prints will be $70 each. All their orders will have free domestic shipping. We wish them well but they might want to change their name to avoid confusion after all our multi-colored cotton Festival funzee is only $42.90 including shipping.
On a less serious note we saw that Shanice of Flex and Shanice, the reality show that airs Saturdays on OWN, is not only trying to get back into the music business but she also wants to produce new adult onesies. Shanice Wilson is a Grammy-nominated American R&B/pop-rock singer, songwriter, and actress. In the early 1990’s she made the Top 10 Billboard hit singles with “I Love Your Smile” and “Saving Forever for You”. In 2000, Wilson married actor/comedian Flex Alexander and, after experiencing financial disasters, they now have their own reality show. She likes to wear adult-sized onesies so much that she’s launching her own line. Well, she needs to get funding first of course. But instead of Kickstarter, on Flex and Shanice she pitches her idea to an investor who doesn’t look impressed or amused. But hey, stupider ideas have got funding, remember the Snuggiefleece blanket got backing and made someone a fair amount of dollars before people realized that they don’t want to wear a blanket or a Slanket.
